An exercise focused on developing fundamental individual defensive actions : contesting the ball in the air, clearing, and interception skills . It is designed to work on trajectory reading, body positioning, and defensive aggressiveness , simulating realistic and varied game situations.
Three offensive players with the ball and one active defender participate.
The exercise is carried out in three sequential phases :
Aerial ball sent by the first player, with passive opposition , which the defender must clear by jumping .
Immediately, the defender moves towards the second player , who throws him a ball for clearance , which can be low, with a bounce, high, strong or soft .
Finally, the defender must intercept or block a powerful shot taken by the third player, simulating a real finishing action or through ball.
The task requires constant mobility, quick reading, and precise execution in each defensive intervention.
